Know Me 2046! The Best Fall Dress Ever!

Hello Friends and HAPPY FALL!!! I recently made a FABOULOUS Fall dress by using the sewing pattern Know Me 2046 (you can find it here)! This pattern was designed by Nikki Brooks and she also goes by Beauty Jadore.

I picked up this pattern when it was first released, which was in the Spring or Summer of 2023, but I knew I wouldn’t make the dress until Fall because of the long sleeves. However, I love this simple but Chic dress!!!

This dress doesn’t have many lines to it, but there are a few details that elevates the dress, which are the sleeve ruching details and the slit zipper.

Because this pattern calls for knit fabric, I made a straight size 24, because the finished bust measurement for that size is 43.5, and my bust is 45 inches and I prefer to have my knit fabric be stretched by my body to fit vs. draping off and possibly look saggy.
The sleeves have ruching to them by using elastic and I think that the detail is adorable. One piece went in the middle of the sleeve and the other went on the sleeve seam and it made this look. (Please see below).

You can see it on my fabric but It’s much more noticeable on solid colored fabrics but I love it.

As far as the zipper slit, there is supposed to be a zipper in the slit so that you can open and close it, but I didn’t put a zipper in mine because I didn’t think I would use the feature, so I made a hem and stitched it down. However, the idea of it is very neat and I may try it eventually.
